BIKES FOR KIDS
Hosted by radio station KPLM, Bikes for Kids allows supporters to pledge a new bicycle and helmet to children in our community who excel in schoolwork or personal behavior and accomplishments. This very popular program has resulted in thousands of deserving boys and girls receiving the bicycle every child dreams of owning.

SUNSHINE COACH PROGRAM
Variety's Sunshine Coach program is an initiative that provides specially equipped passenger vans to transport children with physical limitations to and from medical facilities, special events, and enrichment programs. Sunshine Coaches also provide transportation for underprivileged children to and from after-school programs as well as special events.

Variety of the Desert presents a Sunshine Coach to Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation at the Bike Give-a-Way Party.

ARTS IN EDUCATION
In honor of Variety's Vaudeville founders, the Arts in Education initiative supports fine arts programs serving underprivileged children in the Coachella Valley. Variety of the Desert's donations to fund the Aesthetic Education Program at the McCallum Theatre Institute, Children's Playtime Productions, PDHS Dance team, and the Buddy Rogers Youth Symphony have impacted over 37,000 local children.

NATIONAL MOBILITY PROGRAM
The National Mobility Program is Variety the Children's Charity's initiative dedicated to providing mobility equipment for children with mental and physical disabilities. This equipment includes but is not limited to wheelchairs, walkers, adaptive car seats, van lifts and ramps for houses. Families in need are referred to Variety by various family service and children's agencies.

VARIETY AT WORK
Variety At Work is a hands-on program that puts smiles on the faces of children and volunteers throughout the world of Variety. It gives our volunteers the chance to spend time with children by hosting holiday parties, special field trips to museums, libraries, concerts, the movies, the Living Desert and an array of fun-filled events in our community.
